Submissions are currently closed, but here is a general brief for a typical Poundshop.

The Brief:
Design and produce one item to retail under the strict price brackets of £1, £3 and £5.
It must be a desirable, durable, value for money object.
Your product must have a function as well as being an attractive / well designed object.
You must produce a fully realised prototype for submission.

To think about:
If successful, you may enter a maximum of three variations of each product.
We are mainly accepting £1 and £3 products.
Your production cost per unit should be around a half of the retail price.
You must make a profit to cover overheads and most importantly your time.
It can be any size, cheap doesn’t have to mean small.
Cards are great, but we only take on a few of them and are mostly looking for other items.
Would you buy your own product? If you wouldn’t buy it, don’t expect others to.
